Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Completion of ADA-accredited dental assisting course.
• One year of dental assisting experience preferred or three years continuous experience.

Responsibilities

• 35% chairside assisting with four handed dentistry for residents; general to advanced care.
• 30% set up operatory, maintain instruments, sterilize, follow infection control policies.
• 10% acquire radiographs per treatment plan, ensure x-ray safety.
• 10% assist with patient care including transport and monitoring post-anesthesia.
• 10% manage supplies/inventory and administrative tasks in clinic; MSDS, equipment issues.
• 5% assist in other clinics and duties as directed by supervisor.
