Job summary

State of Nevada's Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City is seeking a Dental Prosthetics Technician to plan, direct, and manufacture dental prosthetics in a full-service lab. The role includes supervising offender staff, training new workers, and coordinating material orders to meet the institution's prosthetic needs.

Under supervision, you will ensure quality control, maintain inventories, and prepare purchase orders while aligning with prescription specs and lab safety standards.

Qualifications

• Three years of responsible laboratory experience in the manufacture of dental prosthetics or equivalent education.
• Completion of coursework from a certified dental technicians' school with at least one year of related experience.
• Combination of education and experience as described above.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and manufacture dental prosthetics in a state facility laboratory.
• Train and supervise offender staff in fabrication, assembly, and repair of dentures.
• Requisition supplies and equipment, take inventory, and prepare purchase orders.
• Inspect work in progress and final products for prescription accuracy and quality control.
• Maintain safety procedures and supervising staff performance.
