Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in a dental setting
• Prior experience with Dentrix is strongly preferred
• Strong ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team to achieve success
• Exceptional patient care and customer service skills
• Business acumen - monitor production/collection, read P&L, manage budgets

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of the dental office’s daily activities, including patient scheduling, appointment management, and patient flow
• Optimize office workflows, manage patient wait times, and enhance patient experiences
• Act as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing concerns promptly
• Ensure patients are informed about treatment plans, financial details, and post-care instructions
• Supervise, train, and evaluate staff (receptionists, assistants, hygienists, coordinators)
• Promote a positive work environment and continuous learning
• Coordinate staff schedules for adequate coverage and adjust as needed
• Monitor performance and conduct performance reviews for all team members
• Oversee billing: coding, insurance verification, collections
• Manage accounts receivable and payment plans with patients/insurance
• Develop and manage office budgets and track expenses
• Prepare financial reports and improve profitability
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, ADA compliance and policy enforcement
• Maintain confidential patient records per HIPAA
• Develop and execute marketing to attract and retain patients
• Coordinate outreach, recall systems, and reminders
• Collaborate with dentist/practice owner on growth strategies
• Identify opportunities to expand services and increase patient volume
