The role supports multiple departments, uses EHR systems to document visits, and acts as a central hub for communication with providers, staff, and patients, ensuring a smooth patient experience and accurate records.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or GED with 1–2 years in healthcare or dedicated customer service.
• Experience handling patient check-in, scheduling, and payments.
• Familiarity with Medi-Cal terminology preferred.
• Experience serving Native American populations in healthcare is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and assist incoming patients, delivering courteous service.
• Collect ID, Medi-Cal info, co-pays and other forms per checklist.
• Provide documentation and schedule follow-ups after visits.
• Serve as hub for communication to ensure a successful visit.
• Coordinate insurance info with verification specialists and answer calls.
• Use EHR to note patient encounters and assist back-office tasks.
• Send messages to staff as needed to service patients.
• Handle cash for patient co-pays as required.
