Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be fluent in English; other language skills are a plus.
• At least 2 years of Patient/Customer Care experience in a healthcare environment (clinic, physician office, or hospital).
• Customer‑service oriented with a patient‑centered focus.
• Ability to handle money and reconcile deposits.
• Demonstrates confidentiality and HIPAA awareness.
• Technology‑savvy with ability to learn systems.
• Strong verbal communication and ability to convey ideas clearly.
• Remains calm under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft programs.

Responsibilities

• Meet with or contact patients after dental appointments to review treatment, estimated patient responsibility, and next steps.
• Explain costs related to crowns, bridges, dentures, partials, root canals, and other high‑cost services.
• Provide information, resources, or referrals when finances are a barrier to care.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully reflecting Heartland values.
