General Manager — Dental Office
Compensation: $65,000 annually + Performance Bonus Eligibility
JOB PURPOSE
The General Manager is the operational and cultural leader of the dental office, responsible for driving the overall performance, profitability, team development, and patient experience of the practice.
We are looking for a strong operator and exceptional people leader who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly accountable, organized, intelligent, solutions-focused, and confident leading a team. This person must have the ability to balance people, operations, financial performance, sales, and patient satisfaction while maintaining a high standard of excellence.
The General Manager takes ownership of the business and leads by example. They are expected to identify opportunities, solve problems, hold the team accountable, develop employees, and consistently improve the way the office operates.
Delighting the patient is a must.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Practice Leadership
- Own the day-to-day operations and overall performance of the dental office.
- Lead the office team with clear expectations, accountability, and consistent follow-through.
- Oversee scheduling, patient flow, productivity, staffing, office organization, and daily execution.
- Open and close the office as required and ensure the facility and property are consistently clean, professional, and welcoming.
- Maintain appropriate inventory and ensure adequate supplies are available to support daily operations.
- Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions to improve efficiency and performance.
- Establish and maintain high standards for professionalism, teamwork, productivity, and patient service.
Team Leadership & Development
- Hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop office team members.
- Ensure every employee is properly trained and equipped to perform their role at a high level.
- Set clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for results.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, recognition, and development opportunities.
- Address performance issues and administer disciplinary action when appropriate.
- Build a positive, high-performing culture centered on teamwork, accountability, and exceptional patient care.
- Motivate the team to consistently deliver an outstanding patient experience.
Patient Experience & Sales
- Take ownership of the patient experience from initial interaction through completion of care.
- Create a friendly, professional, efficient office environment focused on patient satisfaction and retention.
- Assist with or conduct patient consultations as needed.
- Support the team in presenting treatment options and helping patients move forward with recommended care.
- Resolve patient concerns and complaints professionally, promptly, and with a solutions-oriented approach.
- Monitor patient feedback and identify opportunities to improve the overall patient experience.
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional service and building strong patient relationships.
Financial & Business Performance
- Take ownership of the office's financial and operational performance.
- Review and ensure the accuracy of daily revenue reports and submit them on time.
- Ensure daily deposits are completed according to company procedures.
