Carter Family Dentistry in Boise, Idaho is hiring a Dental Assistant (Full-Time) to join our 7-operatory practice. You will work Mon-Fri, 36–40 hours per week, in a supportive back-office team and provide chairside assistance during dental procedures.

The role requires 1+ year of clinical experience and familiarity with digital X-rays and sterilization. Active Dental Radiography certification is preferred, and a friendly, patient-centered approach is essential.

What You'll Be Doing (The Role) As our Dental Assistant, you will play an integral role in keeping our clinical flow smooth, efficient, and comfortable for every patient:

• Partner closely with our doctors during general, restorative, and preventive dental procedures.
• Patient Care & Preparation: Seat patients warmly, review medical histories, explain treatment steps, and maintain a comforting, reassuring chairside presence.
• Digital Radiography: Take clear, diagnostic digital dental X-rays efficiently.
• Clinical Teamwork: Assist with clinical charting, maintain dental supply inventory, and partner with front desk staff to optimize daily patient flow.
• Experience: 1+ years of clinical dental assisting experience (Required).
• Certifications: Active Dental Radiography (X-Ray) Certification preferred.
• Proficient in chairside assisting techniques, instrument sterilization, digital X-rays, and dental terminology.
