Carter Family Dentistry in Boise, ID is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant for a full-time, 36-40 hour week, Monday through Friday position. The role supports chairside procedures, patient care, radiography, sterilization, and operatory setup in a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, familiarity with digital X-rays, and a friendly, dependable demeanor. Compensation ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, DOE, with our standard benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting with doctors during general, restorative, and preventive procedures.

• Prepare, sanitize, and break down operatories; sterilize instruments per OSHA guidelines.
• Assist with charting and inventory, coordinate with front desk to optimize patient flow.

What You'll Be Doing (The Role)

As our Dental Assistant, you will play an integral role in keeping our clinical flow smooth, efficient, and comfortable for every patient:

• Chairside Assisting: Partner closely with our doctors during general, restorative, and preventive dental procedures.

• Patient Care & Preparation: Seat patients warmly, review medical histories, explain treatment steps, and maintain a comforting, reassuring chairside presence.

• Digital Radiography: Take clear, diagnostic digital dental X-rays efficiently.

• Operatory Setup & Sterilization: Prepare, sanitize, and break down treatment operatories; sterilize instruments in accordance with safety and OSHA guidelines.

• Clinical Teamwork: Assist with clinical charting, maintain dental supply inventory, and partner with front desk staff to optimize daily patient flow.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1+ years of clinical dental assisting experience (Required).

• Certifications: Active Dental Radiography (X-Ray) Certification preferred.

• Clinical Skills: Proficient in chairside assisting techniques, instrument sterilization, digital X-rays, and dental terminology.
