Job summary

Carter Family Dentistry in Boise, ID is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant for a full-time, 36-40 hour week, Monday through Friday position. The role supports chairside procedures, patient care, radiography, sterilization, and operatory setup in a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, familiarity with digital X-rays, and a friendly, dependable demeanor. Compensation ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, DOE, with our standard benefits package.

Qualifications

1+ years of clinical dental assisting experience (Required).
Active Dental Radiography Certification preferred.
Proficient in chairside assisting, instrument sterilization, digital X-rays, and dental terminology.
High dependability, strong team orientation, empathetic communication skills, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Chairside assisting with doctors during general, restorative, and preventive procedures.
Seat patients, review medical histories, explain treatment steps, and maintain comfort.
Take diagnostic digital dental X-rays efficiently.
Prepare, sanitize, and break down operatories; sterilize instruments per OSHA guidelines.
Assist with charting and inventory, coordinate with front desk to optimize patient flow.
