About the Role
- Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression.
- Manage front office duties: answering phones, checking mail and email, communicating with patients and insurance companies.
- Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records management.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers.
- File insurance claims, follow up on claims, verify benefits, and explain coverage.
- Post payments and process accounts receivable.
- Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
- Collaborate with the team to implement systems that optimize office potential.
Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Access to minimum PHI necessary for job functions, with HIPAA training required.
Preferred Experience
- 1+ years in a dental or medical setting.
- Experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable.
- Dental software experience (Dentrix preferred).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations.
- Sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Availability for periodic training sessions.
- TB test required prior to employment, except in FL & TN.
