Job Description

Title: Dental Office Administrator

Salary Range: $83,000 - $87,000 plus benefits

FTE: Full-time, Exempt

Responsibilities
  • Maintain dental facilities, including equipment repairs and record logs for clinic operations.
  • Supervise dental staff including Registered Dental Assistants, Dental Assistants, Front Office Coordinators, and Patient Service Representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, HIPAA standards, and organizational regulations across all dental sites.
  • Train staff on Nextgen EPM, EHR, EDR, and ADP software.
  • Perform duties of Registered Dental Assistant as needed.
  • Conduct annual staff evaluations and create monthly work schedules.
  • Train employees on HIPAA requirements and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Assist with provider credentialing, insurance contracts, and front office policies.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Registered Dental Assistant License
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Experience with Nextgen systems and computer literacy
  • Familiarity with Access Dental and Liberty Dental portals
  • Knowledge of dental/medical terminology and equipment
  • Completion of Dental Assistant program; vocational training in Office Administration preferred
Experience
  • At least 5 years of office experience, preferably in a dental/medical setting
Skills and Abilities
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required
  • Effective communication skills in both languages
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
