Job summary

National Dentex Laboratories (NDX) seeks a Dental Laboratory Technician at NDX Green in Heber Springs, AR. You will read prescriptions, enter patient data, and design dental frameworks to restore function and aesthetics.

You will operate CAM software and CNC machinery to fabricate restorations, maintain equipment, and ensure every step is followed for accuracy and quality control.

Qualifications

• Ability to read prescriptions and specifications.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Read prescriptions and specifications from dentist.
• Enter patient information and scan stone models for 3D virtual models.
• Design dental frameworks/restorations for proper function and aesthetics.
• Place dental parts into CAM software to generate CNC code.
• Operate CNC machinery to fabricate restorations.
• Ensure steps are followed to maintain accuracy and consistency.
• Read and review paperwork for correct information.
• Maintain equipment and update software as needed.
• Keep milling projects organized for team workflow.

Description

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have several labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Green in Heber Springs, AR, for a Dental Laboratory Technician.

The regular hours for this position are from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

• Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist
• Enter patient information and scan stone models to create a 3D virtual model
• Design dental frameworks/restorations that provide the patient with the proper function and aesthetics
• Place dental parts into CAM software to generate code for CNC machines
• Operate CNC machinery to fabricate dental restorations
• It is the dental technician’s job to insure all steps are followed, in order, to insure consistent, accurate results
• Read and review all paperwork on each case for correct information
• Maintain machines weekly and make software updates as they become available
• Keep cases organized so that everyone on the milling projects can work as a team
• All other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities Required:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Must have basic computer skills

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

• Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to work towards and meet production goals

Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:

• Small hand tools
• Milling machinery

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for long periods at a time
