Job summary

Greenbrier Dental Center is seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Verification Specialist to join our private practice in Chesapeake, VA. The role focuses on verifying patient insurance coverage and benefits, communicating with insurers, patients, and staff to confirm eligibility, co-pays, and covered procedures.

You will work closely with the billing team to resolve discrepancies and keep Eaglesoft records up to date, while delivering exceptional patient service in a fast-paced office

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2 years dental office experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Excellent communication with patients, staff and insurers.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility for patients and appointments using online sites or carrier contacts.
• Complete dental insurance verifications in a timely manner (2 weeks prior to appointments).
• Collect and clarify insurance information from patients and resolve discrepancies.
• Review deductibles, coverage, waiting periods in Eaglesoft and related systems.
• Input and update insurance data accurately in the practice management software.
• Maintain organized insurance documents for audits and reference.
