Job summary

The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry is seeking a Dispensing and Sterilization Technician to ensure dental instruments are clean, sterile, and ready for student use. You will operate the axiUm system to check out kits and individual items while maintaining an orderly dispensary.

Responsibilities include stocking, tracking expirations, sterilization, instrument maintenance, and recommending replacements. The role requires physical stamina and adherence to health industry standards.

Qualifications

• Accredited Central Sterile Processing training program, OR three (3) months experience in sterile dental processing/dispensing environment.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift, lift 40 pounds, bend and stoop repeatedly to handle materials and reach supplies.

Responsibilities

• Checkout instrument kits and sundries to students at clinic sessions using axiUm.
• Maintain dispensary organization and replenish stock with attention to expiration dates.
• Process items for sterilization and perform routine instrument maintenance and testing.
