Job summary

Teeth R US Dental Care, PLLC is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to provide preventive care and educate patients in a fast-paced, patient-centered practice on Long Island. The role emphasizes teamwork and building strong relationships with both children and adults.

Spanish speaking is a plus, and the Hygienist will support a smooth schedule while ensuring high-quality dentistry and infection-control standards.

Qualifications

• Current NY Dental Hygienist license is required.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Experience working with both pediatric and adult patients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance as appropriate.
• Take and review dental radiographs.
• Conduct periodontal charting and update patient records.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive strategies.
• Apply fluoride and sealants.
• Assist with sterilization and operatory turnover following infection control protocols.
• Communicate findings clearly to the doctor and contribute to care plans.
• Help maintain an efficient schedule while delivering a great patient experience.

The Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing preventive dental care and patient education while supporting a smooth, efficient schedule in a fast-paced practice. Responsibilities

• Perform prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing as appropriate
• Take and review dental radiographs
• Conduct periodontal charting, gather health histories, and update patient records
• Educate patients (kids, teens, and adults) on oral hygiene, home care, and preventive strategies
• Apply fluoride and sealants
• Assist with sterilization and operatory turnover following infection control protocols
• Communicate findings clearly to the doctor and collaborate on patient care plans
• Help maintain an efficient schedule while delivering a great patient experience
• Experience with Open Dental preferred (not required)

Qualifications

• Current Dental Hygienist license in NY
• CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent chairside manner and communication skills
• Comfortable working with both pediatric and adult patients
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety/infection control
