Specialty Dental Brands in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled Pediatric Dental Hygienist to join our pediatric practice. You will provide preventive care and oral health education for young patients, while collaborating closely with the pediatric dentist and clinical team to create a positive dental experience.

You will perform X-rays, apply fluoride and sealants, and educate children and families on proper care.

Qualifications

  • Active Dental Hygienist license per state requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
  • Current CPR/BLS certification as required
  • Pediatric dental experience preferred
  • Experience with children and families is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of preventive dental care and patient education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide preventive dental care and oral health education for pediatric patients
  • Perform patient assessments and document oral health findings
  • Take dental X-rays as permitted by state regulations and protocols
  • Apply fluoride and dental sealants as directed by state regulations
  • Educate children and parents on brushing, flossing, nutrition, and preventive care
  • Provide age-appropriate oral hygiene instruction tailored to each patient
  • Help children feel comfortable, calm, and engaged during visits
  • Communicate findings to the dentist and clinical team
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Follow sterilization, infection control, OSHA, HIPAA standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, stocked treatment area
  • Support efficient patient flow and daily operations
  • Participate in team meetings and continuing education

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join a well-established pediatric dental practice. What You'll Do

As a Dental Hygienist, you will provide preventive dental care and oral health education while working closely with the pediatric dentist and clinical team. You will play an important role in helping children establish healthy habits while creating a positive and comfortable dental experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventive hygiene services for pediatric patients

Perform patient assessments and document oral health findings

Take dental X-rays as permitted by applicable state regulations and practice protocols

Apply fluoride and dental sealants as directed and permitted by applicable state regulations

Educate children and parents on proper brushing, flossing, nutrition, and preventive oral health care

Provide age-appropriate oral hygiene instruction tailored to each patient's needs

Help children feel comfortable, calm, and engaged throughout their visit

Communicate clinical findings and patient concerns to the dentist and clinical team

Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation

Follow sterilization, infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and other applicable safety standards

Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment area

Support efficient patient flow and daily clinical operations

Participate in team meetings, training, and continuing education opportunities

Preferred Qualifications:

Active Dental Hygienist license in accordance with applicable state requirements

Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program

Current CPR/BLS certification as required

Previous pediatric dental experience preferred

Experience working with children and families is a plus

Strong knowledge of preventive dental care and patient education

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
