Job summary

AC Dentistry in Birmingham, AL is seeking a part-time Registered Dental Hygienist who shares our passion for exceptional, patient-centered care. You will work closely with Dr.

Cotant's team to provide prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and SRP support for treatment planning and case acceptance. We value a strong preventive philosophy, fluoride discussions, and patient education, with a collaborative, team-first culture.

Qualifications

• Strong periodontal philosophy and clinical approach.
• Belief in preventive care, including fluoride and patient education.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and a true team-first mindset.
• Comfort co-diagnosing and supporting the doctor in treatment planning.

Responsibilities

• Prophylaxis (Prophy) and periodontal maintenance appointments are performed as 1 hour blocks.
• New patient hygiene assessments and care plan support.
• Assist with scaling and root planing (SRP) appointments as needed.
• Support doctor in treatment planning and case acceptance.

• Prophylaxis (Prophy) and Periodontal Maintenance appointments are scheduled for 1 hour


• New Patient appointments are typically scheduled for 1.5 to 2 hours


• Scaling and Root Planing (SRP) appointments are scheduled for 2 hours
