Job summary

AC Dentistry in Birmingham, AL is seeking a part-time Registered Dental Hygienist to provide preventive care and build lasting patient relationships.

You will perform prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance, educate patients on oral health, support the doctor in treatment planning, and contribute to a warm, patient-centered environment.

Schedule includes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with early morning to afternoon hours. Join a team that values teamwork, compassion, and high-standard care.

Qualifications

• Active Alabama Dental Hygiene License.
• Strong periodontal philosophy and clinical approach.
• Belief in preventive care including fluoride and patient education.
• Positive collaborative attitude and team-first mindset.
• Comfort co-diagnosing and supporting the doctor in treatment planning and case acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance appointments are scheduled for 1 hour.
• New patient appointments range from 15 minutes to 2 hours.
• Scaling and Root Planing (SRP) appointments are scheduled for 2 hours.

Position Schedule

• Monday 800 AM 500 PM


• Wednesday 800 AM 500 PM


• Friday 700 AM 300 PM

Appointment Times

• Prophylaxis Prophy and Periodontal Maintenance appointments are scheduled for 1 hour


• New Patient appointments are typically scheduled for 15 to 2 hours


• Scaling and Root Planing SRP appointments are scheduled for 2 hours
