Position Overview:

Under general supervision, the Dental Hygienist will provide preventive dental care, document treatments, perform radiographs, and educate patients and staff. Responsibilities include ensuring infection control, assessing gum disease, and participating in community health promotion activities. Knowledge of dental regulations and guidelines is required.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preventive treatments such as cleanings, scalings, and polishing.
• Document treatments and correspondence in the electronic dental chart.
• Communicate treatment plans and oral hygiene techniques to patients and staff.
• Follow infection control protocols and sterilize instruments.
• Identify and document stages of gum disease.
• Participate in community events to promote oral health and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited school of dental hygiene.
• 0 to 1 year experience in a dental clinical setting.
• Valid Driver’s License (TX upon hire).
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
• Texas Dental Hygiene License.

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with the public and staff.
• Use of personal mobile device for authentication.

Additional Information:
