Job summary

Taylor Dental & Braces - a Benevis company in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks a skilled Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality patient care. You will perform prophylaxis, radiographs, sealants, fluoride applications, and related procedures under supervision, while educating patients and families about oral health.

Current LA license and CPR/BLS certification are required. Competitive hourly pay ranges with production pay and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Active state Dental Hygienist license
• CPR/BLS certification required at hire
• Experience with kids is a plus, and ability to educate patients

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality, compassionate care to every patient
• Perform scaling and prophylaxis, x-rays, sealants, fluoride application under supervision
• Offer same-day care when possible to enhance service
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene
• Assess patient dental condition and review medical history
• Assist with charting and radiographs as needed
• Follow government regulations and company standards

$45-$53/hour

plus production pay

What You’ll Do As a Dental Hygienst

• Deliver quality, compassionate care to every patient
• Perform scaling and prophylaxis, x-rays, sealants, fluoride application, and related procedures under general dentist supervision
• Offer same-day care whenever possible to provide excellent customer service
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene
• Assess dental condition and needs, and review patients' medical history
• Guide parents and patients through the full treatment process
• Assist with dental and periodontal charting as needed
• Take and file x-rays in patient charts as needed
• Follow all government regulations and company standards

What You’ll Need

• Current state Dental Hygienist license
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, including a hands-on skills assessment (required at hire)
