Position Summary

The Dental Hygienist collaborates with the dentist to meet patients' oral health needs, performing duties in accordance with Florida statutes regarding dental hygiene.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct patient screenings, including health history review and oral cancer screening
  • Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • Remove calculus and plaque from teeth
  • Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and nutrition
  • Make impressions for study models
  • Maintain documentation and manage office activities
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff
  • Assist in supply and equipment management
Additional Duties
  • Travel to different locations as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CDO or Dental Operations Director
Qualifications
  • Previous dental hygiene experience preferred
  • Current Florida Dental Hygiene License
  • Current CPR certification
