Job summary

Aland Family Dentistry in Reno, NV is seeking a licensed RDH to join our team. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly base of 48.00 to 65.00 per hour, a $5,000 sign-on bonus (2500 on first paycheck, 2500 at 6 months), and we cover your Nevada RDH license renewal fees.

You will focus on scaling, root planing, SRP, digital charting, and patient education, with a commuter-friendly Reno location and a supportive, family-like team.

Qualifications

• Active Nevada RDH license or in the process of obtaining NV licensure.
• Experience with modern dental practice management software is preferred.
• Experience with SRP and preventative/periodontal therapies.
• Strong communication and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality exams, preventative cleanings, SRP, and digital charting.
• Educate patients and address anxieties to improve adherence.
• Collaborate with doctors to co-diagnose and plan conservative treatments.
• Maintain a calm, compassionate patient experience in a team-focused setting.

What We're Looking For

• Licensure: Active Nevada Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing (or currently in the active process of obtaining NV licensure).
• Technical Skills: Experience with modern dental practice management software and digital charting (experience with Open Dental and digital radiography is a major plus).
• Patient Care: A deep commitment to providing gentle, compassionate, and comprehensive preventative and periodontal therapies (SRP) for patients of all ages.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, a warm bedside manner, sharp attention to detail, and a collaborative "team-first" mentality.

What You'll Do

• Elite Periodontal Therapy: Perform high-quality clinical exams, preventative cleanings, scaling, root planing (SRP), digital charting, and oral cancer screenings.
• Patient Advocacy & Education: Clear up anxieties, help patients understand the why behind their oral health, and engage them in their preventative care.
• Clinical Collaboration: Partner closely with our doctors to co-diagnose, review digital X-rays, audit periodontal health, and build conservative treatment plans.
• Team Synergy: Utilize our assisted hygiene model to maintain an efficient, comforting flow, keeping the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable for everyone.
