Job summary

Pleasant View Smiles in Pleasant View, TN is seeking a motivated Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our modern practice. You will provide high-quality preventive care, educate patients, and work with a collaborative team. Schedule Monday to Thursday, 7:40 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break.

Qualifications

• Active RDH license (Tennessee)
• Current CPR certification
• Experience with dental software (Dentrix or Eaglesoft)
• Experience with scaling/root planing or prophylaxis
• Strong communication and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Review and update dental X-rays and chart notes while maintaining equipment and X-ray machine.
• Record detailed narratives and probing depths for claims.
• Ensure OSHA/HIPAA compliance.
• Sterilize and maintain dental supplies.
• Successfully complete Scaling and Root Planning and/or Prophylaxis.
• Place fluoride varnish and sealants.
• Serve as a point of escalation for both patient and team relations.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and the team.

Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will identify opportunities to discuss oral health hygiene of our patients as it relates to the mouth-body connection, including:

• Review and update dental x-rays and chart notes while maintaining dental equipment and x-ray machine.
• Record detailed narratives and probing depths for claims.

• Sterilize and maintain dental supplies.
• Successfully complete Scaling and Root Planning and/or Prophylaxis.
• Excel with placing fluoride varnish and sealants.
• Serve as a point of escalation for both patient and team relations.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and the team.

Qualifications

• Current Certification from an accredited Hygiene Program.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Demonstrates leadership and strong communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with a dental software, such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
