About the Job

This position assists dentists in all phases of patient care, working with students, families, and the university community to maintain oral health.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations, treatments, and patient care.
• Prepare patients and set up necessary instruments and supplies.
• Provide prophylactic care, examine and clean teeth, treat gums, and advise patients on oral hygiene.
• Perform preliminary oral examinations, sterilize instruments, requisition supplies, and take digital radiographs.
• Make dental impressions, establish maintenance schedules, and assist with dental recalls.
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as per approved treatment plans.
• Review patient histories, document referrals, and promote a safe and respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Minnesota licensure and successful completion of anesthesia and analgesia courses.
• Current CPR certification and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Pay and Benefits
