Job summary

City Dental in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our patient-focused team. The position offers a four‑day work week (Mon-Thu), competitive hourly pay, and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance along with PTO and a 401(k).

You will conduct oral health assessments, perform cleanings, apply fluoride, and educate patients while using digital x-ray equipment and intraoral cameras. We value teamwork and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Dental Hygienist in NC
• Knowledge of infection control regulations
• Experience with digital x-rays and intraoral cameras
• Ability to educate patients about oral hygiene and treatment plans
• Comfort collaborating with dentists and staff

Responsibilities

• Conduct oral health assessments and evaluate patient history for signs of disease
• Perform dental cleanings and remove plaque, tartar, and stains
• Apply fluoride and sealants to prevent cavities
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and dietary choices
• Operate digital x-ray equipment and intraoral cameras
• Document patient histories and treatment plans
• Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning and patient care
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace following infection-control protocols

Responsibilities:

• Conduct oral health assessments, including reviewing oral health history and examining patients for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis.
• Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
• Apply fluoride and sealants to prevent cavities.
• Educate patients about proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
• Operate digital x-ray equipment and intraoral cameras.
• Record and evaluate patients’ dental histories and document treatment plans and progress.
• Collaborate with dentists in planning treatment for patients, assisting in consultations, and making recommendations for care.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace by adhering to infection-control protocols and all health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of medicine, dentistry, dental health, and safety regulations
• Candidates must have all applicable NC licenses & certifications.
