The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a DENTAL HYGIENIST to work under the general supervision of the attending dentist and according to established policies and procedures. The responsibilities include providing routine dental hygiene care such as scaling, root planning, curettages, cavitrons, polishing, applying sealants, and administering fluoride treatments. The role also involves taking, developing, and mounting radiographs of patients' teeth as necessary. Additionally, the hygienist may perform administrative and clerical duties to support department operations and respond to the unique needs of all patients. The position serves registered patients of the 1917 Dental Clinic at UAB.

Hourly Rate: $22.90 - $37.25

Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited School of Dental Hygiene is required. Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement. A current Dental Hygiene License from the Alabama Board of Dental Examiners is required.

The ideal candidate will have a service-oriented attitude, a genuine desire to help patients, and the ability to work as part of a team. Organizational skills and initiative are also valued.
