Job summary

Lanier Technical College – Hall County campus in Gainesville, GA, seeks a full‑time Dental Hygiene Program Director/Instructor. The role combines leadership with teaching, coordinating curriculum, budget requests and accreditation tasks while guiding faculty and students in a dynamic health‑care education environment.

The position reports to the Dean of Allied Health and requires a CODA‑accredited program background, dental hygiene licensure or dentistry credentials, and demonstrated teaching

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Graduate of CODA‑accredited dental hygiene or dental education program.
• Must be a dental hygienist or dentist.
• Documented background in education including teaching experience.
• Clinical experience in dental hygiene or dentistry to support program goals.
• Demonstrated administrative experience in an educational or clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership as Program Director for the Dental Hygiene program and supervise instruction.
• Coordinate course offerings, scheduling, curriculum review, and program assessments.
• Oversee budget requests, advisory committee meetings, and accreditation documentation.
• Hire, onboard and orient faculty for the program.
• Teach and develop course outlines, lesson plans, and student evaluation methods.
• Support recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts for students.
