Roane State Community College’s Dental Hygiene department seeks a part-time hourly clinical instructor to teach dental hygiene clinicals. Fall 2024 schedule will vary, with teaching hours and days dependent on course needs.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene or related field, ADA-accredited program, TN license or license-eligibility, at least three years of private practice, CPR certification, and basic computer skills.

Teaching Dental Hygiene Clinicals
Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene or related field required.
Must be a graduate of an ADA accredited Dental Hygiene program.
Possess a current TN license as a dental hygienist or be license eligible.
Have a minimum of three years of full-time private practice experience.
Have current CPR certification or complete prior to beginning position.
Have minimal computer skills such as ability to utilize Word, PowerPoint, and email.
Able to perform normal duties with minimal supervision.
Demonstrate ability to work harmoniously with the staff, faculty, and public and perform normal duties with minimal supervision. .
Possess a working knowledge of dental office practice management software such as EagleSoft and dental imaging software preferred.
Possess prior knowledge of educational methodology (preferred) or willingness to complete required educational methodology assignments.
Demonstrate willingness to learn new instructional techniques and technologies.
