Job summary

Coweta Dentistry in Newman, GA is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to support hygienists and ensure patients are prepared for treatment. You will communicate patient needs to the Hygienist and help with chair-side tasks, records, and instruments.

Responsibilities include taking X-rays, sterilizing equipment, prepping rooms, arranging referrals, and guiding patients on post-operative care. Must be detail oriented, with strong customer service and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified and Expanded Functions Dental Assistant.
• Experience with dental/medical technology.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player who can work independently.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Current CPR certification will be required.

Responsibilities

• Set up hygienists prior to patient procedures.
• Clearly communicate patient needs to the Hygienist and other staff.
• Prepare patients for treatment and obtain accurate dental records.
• Take x-rays; sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment; clean rooms.
• Prepare referrals and trays; confirm appointments.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
