Job summary

Heartland Dental's Neibauer - Manassas is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to support our hygiene team and gain hands-on dental experience in a world-class organization.

You'll work with our hygiene providers, receive on-the-job training, and contribute to patient comfort while learning room setup, charting with Dentrix, and safety protocols. No prior dental experience required; Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training; state certification may be required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Team player; fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training; protect PHI.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients; educate during treatment.
• Review health history to provide quality care.
• Assist hygienists during procedures per state practice act.
• Set up rooms; stock and restock instruments and supplies.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• Partner with providers to maximize office workflow.
