Job summary

Monocacy River Dental Care in Frederick, MD, is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to join a Heartland Dental-supported team. You will work with hygienists to deliver excellent patient care and gain extensive hands-on experience with on-the-job training and ongoing development opportunities.

You will support a fast-paced, patient-first environment, participate in training, and grow within a nationally recognized dental support organization.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training and additional certification may be required based on state requirements.
• High school graduate or GED Equivalent.
• Team Player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI protection as required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, ensuring patient comfort and education throughout treatment.
• Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care.
• Provide superior assistance to supported hygienists during a wide variety of procedures.
• Assist with setting up rooms for hygiene visits, stocking and restocking instruments and supplies.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with adherence to OSHA/CDC safety protocols.
• Partner with providers to follow office systems and maximize workflow.
