Fusion Dental of Waldorf is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to join our team. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training with a world-class organization and opportunities to develop hands-on dental assisting skills alongside experienced hygiene providers.

You will work in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment, supporting providers, ensuring safety with OSHA/CDC guidelines, and using Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training may be required based on state requirements.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Team player with strong communication.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• HIPAA training and data safeguards are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and provide education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Assist supported hygienists during procedures following state dental practice acts.
• Set up rooms for hygiene visits and stock instruments and supplies.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with adherence to OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Collaborate with providers to maximize office workflow.
