Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to support one or two hygienists. You will prep patients, update histories, take vital signs, and prepare treatment plans discussions with patients.

This fast-paced team environment emphasizes patient interaction and smooth scheduling. You will also handle radiographs, charting, op-setup, and infection control, while aiding in conveying costs and financing options to patients.

Qualifications

• Dental assisting experience preferred or new graduates welcome.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Completion of a North Carolina radiology course is required or must be completed before start date.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat patients, review medical histories, and take vital signs.
• Take radiographs and intraoral photos.
• Record periodontal charting and notes as directed by the hygienist.
• Prepare and turnover operatories, including cleaning, disinfecting, and tray setup.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
• Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients and discuss care.
