Job summary

The Smilist Dental in Academy, PA is seeking a friendly Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our welcoming practice. You will support the hygienists, prepare treatment rooms, and help orient patients throughout their visit.

Requirements include proven dental assistant experience and an active PA x-ray license. Join a team that values quality care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Must have an active PA x-ray license.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist hygienists to provide efficient dental treatment.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels in each operatory.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Keep patients focused on treatment and promote hygienist qualities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their hygienist
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the hygienists - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
• Must have an active PA x-ray license
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures

• Schedule:Full Time - Monday through Friday!
• Salary Range:$20.00-$25.00/hour
• Location:Academy, PA
