Job summary

The Smilist Dental is seeking a friendly Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our Academy, PA practice. You will assist the hygienists, prepare trays, and help keep the operatory clean and welcoming for patients.

A PA x-ray license, strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth in a supportive, patient‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Must have an active PA x-ray license.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their hygienist.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the hygienists - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

• Schedule:Full Time - Monday through Friday!
• Salary Range:$20.00-$25.00/hour
