Blue Sea Dental in Estero, FL is seeking a Dental Hygiene Assistant for a full-time role. You will work closely with our hygienists to support patient care, maintain the hygiene department, and contribute to a positive patient experience.

The ideal candidate is dependable, personable, team-oriented, and eager to grow within a supportive dental practice. X-ray certification is required or obtainable; experience with Dentrix is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous dental assisting experience preferred, especially with a hygiene team.
• X-ray certification required or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Team-focused with a positive attitude.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment.
• Familiarity with dental software, especially Dentrix, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dental hygienist with patient care and clinical procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms.
• Take dental X-rays as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Follow all infection control and OSHA guidelines.
• Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions.
• Help manage the hygiene schedule and maintain an efficient workflow.
• Restock and organize hygiene supplies.
• Assist with presenting treatment plans when needed.
• Support other clinical team members as needed to ensure smooth patient care.

As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you’ll work closely with our dental hygienists to support patient care, keep the hygiene department running smoothly, and help create a positive experience for every patient.
