Job summary

Blue Sea Dental is seeking a Dental Hygiene Assistant in Punta Gorda to support our dental hygienists, keep the hygiene department running smoothly, and help create a positive patient experience. Qualifications

• Prior dental assisting experience, especially with a hygiene team.
• X-ray certification required or willing to obtain.
• Familiar with dental software, especially Dentrix.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dental hygienist with patient care and clinical procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take dental X-rays as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Follow all infection control and OSHA guidelines
• Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions
• Help manage the hygiene schedule and maintain an efficient workflow
• Restock and organize hygiene supplies
• Assist with presenting treatment plans when needed
• Support other clinical team members as needed to ensure smooth patient care

As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you’ll work closely with our dental hygienists to support patient care, keep the hygiene department running smoothly, and help create a positive experience for every patient. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the dental hygienist with patient care and clinical procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms

Requirements

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment
• Familiarity with dental software, especially Dentrix, is a plus
