Maple Shade Dental of Peoria is looking for a Dental Hygienist Assistant in Dunlap, Illinois to join our clinical team. Position Overview:

As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you play an integral role in our care team by supporting the office and assisting professional dental staff with treatments. We are passionate about preventive oral health care and value our hygiene team. Join our dynamic dental practice! Schedule:

Tuesday - Thursday: 8am to 5pm (lunch from 1-2pm)

Friday: 8am to 2pm (no lunch)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization
• Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatments
• Update patient health records and chart treatment progress
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments
• Support the hygienist with patient scheduling, treatment recommendations, and office recall systems
• Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Associate degree or certification in Dental Assisting (preferred)
• CPR certification (preferred but can be obtained upon hiring)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort
• No experience needed
