Our brand new office Dental Care at Cedar Brakes in Georgetown, TX, is looking for a Business Assistant to join our team. We are a state-of-the-art office with a patient-focused atmosphere. We are seeking a skilled Business Assistant who is comfortable working with Dentrix, verifying insurance, submitting claims, presenting treatment plans, and being a positive asset to our team.

As a Business Assistant, you will support our front office and work in a collaborative environment where patients come first and continuous learning is encouraged. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, motivated, and passionate about helping our team provide excellent patient care to the community.

More about the role
  1. Greet and welcome patients to create a positive first impression
  2. Manage front office duties, including answering phones, checking mail and email, and communicating with patients and insurance companies
  3. Use Dentrix for scheduling and records management
  4. Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers
  5. File insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims and benefits verification
  6. Post payments and process accounts receivables
  7. Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients
  8. Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office operations

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
  2. Excellent communication and organizational skills
  3. Ability to handle PHI with confidentiality, with regular HIPAA training and data safeguards
Preferred Experience
  1. At least 1 year of experience in a dental or medical setting
  2. Experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable
  3. Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental software
Physical Requirements
  1. Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations
  2. Prolonged sitting and working on a computer
  3. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
  4. Availability for virtual or in-person training sessions periodically
  5. TB test requirement prior to employment, with arrangements made during pre-employment; not applicable in FL & TN
