Virginia Family Dentistry in Mechanicsville is seeking an experienced Front Desk Scheduler to join our Mechanicsville team. Pay range is $18-$24/hour based on experience. Typical work hours are 8 am-5 pm Monday-Friday.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position. Front desk team members perform routine clerical tasks such as answering telephones, greeting patients, updating patient information, scheduling appointments, and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more of dental office experience.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review schedules daily to fill open appointment times.
• Confirm, schedule, and follow up on unscheduled appointments.
• Greet patients, answer telephones, and check office emails daily.
• Run necessary patient reports and make follow up calls.
• Update insurance information, address, phone, email and balances.
• Coordinate with insurance for pre-treatment estimates.
• Communicate with accounts receivable on balances or arrangements.
• Coordinate with specialists or hygiene coordinators as needed.
• Review treatment plans with patients and explain insurance coverage.
