Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in dental/healthcare financial coordination preferred.
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance policies, ADA codes, and claims submission processes.
• Proficiency with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental).
• Excellent communication, detail orientation, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Discuss financial options with patients, including treatment costs, payment plans, insurance coverage, and financing options.
• Verify benefits, submit claims, track status, and follow up on outstanding or denied claims.
• Manage patient billing, apply payments, monitor balances, and resolve billing concerns.
• Provide clear, empathetic financial guidance to patients and families about costs and responsibilities.
• Maintain accurate financial records, agreements, and insurance documentation in the practice software.
• Assist with scheduling financial consultations and prepare detailed treatment cost breakdowns.
• Collaborate with front desk and clinical teams to support seamless patient experiences.
• Support front desk operations as needed (phone, check-in/out, reminders).
• Identify and implement improvements to financial workflows and billing processes.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education on billing regulations and trends.
