Job summary

Aviva Health in the United States seeks a qualified Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to provide chairside support, document treatments, and uphold patient safety standards. Under the supervision of the Dental Assistant Supervisor, you will sterilize equipment, assist dentists and hygienists, manage records in the electronic dental record, and help ensure accurate charting and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EFDA certification required.
• BLS certification required or ability to obtain.
• Experience with dental records preferred; knowledge of procedures and codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sterilizes dental instruments and maintains operatories.
• Maintains infection control and uses PPE per OSHA standards.
• Prepares patients for treatment and reviews medical history.
• Accurately enters patient information into the electronic dental record.
