Job summary

UTHealth Houston's School of Dentistry is seeking a part-time Dental Dispensary Assistant for the Bellaire Clinic. This role supports daily clinical operations by maintaining dental supplies and equipment, stocking treatment areas, managing inventory, preparing instruments, and ensuring providers have the resources needed to deliver exceptional patient care.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting a high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to support dental dispensary operations and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, package and sterilize dental and surgical instruments.
• Order and dispense instruments, dental materials and supplies to students and faculty.
• Set up sterile instrument trays for procedures.
• Operate ultrasonic cleaners and sterilizers.
• Maintain inventory levels and records.
• Assist with annual inventory; ensure security of university property.
• Ensure proper use of clinic equipment loan policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
