Job summary

San José Clinic in Rosenberg, Texas seeks a Part-time Dental Assistant to support dentists, hygienists and patient access staff in delivering primary dental care. You will assist with chair-side procedures, sterilization, radiographs, records and patient education, while maintaining a clean, efficient clinic environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma, completion of an accredited dental assisting program, Texas radiography registration, 1 year chair-side/4-handed dentistry experience,

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program required.
• Registered with Texas Board of Dental Examiners to perform radiographs.
• Minimum 1 year chair-side and 4-handed dentistry experience.
• Current CPR-BLS certification required.
• Excellent knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
• Proficient with computer systems and practice management software.
• Fluent in English and Spanish for patient interaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side assistance to dentist and hygienist during procedures and tests.
• Assist patients with understanding terminology, medical/dental histories, and vital signs; record data.
• Prepare operatory, sterilize equipment, and maintain supplies and scheduling.
• Maintain clean, functional clinic and patient care areas; report data as assigned.
• Explain treatment plans and after-care instructions to patients.
• Assist with radiographs and proper consent forms as needed.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
