Job summary

Tufts University School of Dental Medicine seeks a Dispensary Assistant to organize and stock inventory, issue and receive instruments, and maintain security of dental equipment. You will interact with students and staff in Dental Clinics and uphold infection control protocols.

Responsibilities include inventory reporting, instrument transfers, and maintaining a clean, compliant workspace. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of related experience and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years related experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.
• Equipment control: Maintain security of dental equipment and instrument cassettes. Follow barcode system protocol.
• Customer service: Work effectively with faculty, students, residents, and other Clinic Materials staff to ensure a smooth operation.
• Maintain a clean well-organized work area, and sweep the operatories for gloves, Cavicide, blue wrap and remove any remaining materials.
• Maintain infection control protocols and procedures.
