Job summary

Midwestern University is seeking a Dispensary Assistant to support the dispensary and receiving area within the Dental Clinic in Glendale, AZ. The role includes dispensing, processing, and caring for dental instruments, equipment, and supplies under the Supervisor of Dispensary.

The position involves inventory control, order processing, equipment calibration support, and assisting in training new staff. A professional demeanor, strong organization, and teamwork are essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years experience in inventory or dental office setting preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA guidelines and infection control is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing instruments, equipment and dental products to staff and students.
• Process internal orders using axiUm Inventory software.
• Handle external orders including invoices, UPCs, pricing, back orders and returns.
• Perform routine inventory counts and report discrepancies to the Supervisor of Dispensary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dispensary and storage areas.
• Assist with training of new employees and participate in department meetings.
