Job summary

Community Health Connections, Inc. in Fitchburg, MA is seeking a Dental Billing Specialist responsible for all dental billing, collections, and data entry functions within the patient accounts team.

The role is based at CHC’s Fitchburg location and requires accurate posting of payments and timely submission of claims. Essential duties include processing charges within 48 hours, following up on denied claims, and assisting patients with insurance using Gateway software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 yrs dental and/or dental billing experience.
• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Business preferred.
• Experience with MS Word/Excel and database programs such as MS Access.

Responsibilities

• Process all Dental charges within 48 hours of office visit and submit claims daily.
• Accurately post payments and adjustments per contractual agreements.
• Process EOBs and resubmit denied claims; follow up via electronic claims system.
• Send patient statements weekly and follow up on past-due accounts with collection calls.
• Assist patients with insurance using Gateway software and utilize NexGen for billing/reporting.
• Provide follow-up with patients to obtain necessary information and verify insurance coverage.
