Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Must hold a current State of New Mexico Dental Assistant, Dental Hygienist, or Dental license.
• DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA).
• At least 3 years of recent experience in Dental Assisting.

Responsibilities

• Effectively prepare, teach, grade, and assess student learning in assigned courses.
• Create a quality learning environment for diverse student populations, including those with disabilities.
• Maintain student records and provide documentation for in-completes within College timelines.
• Utilize technology-based programs to input and access student records and department processes.
• Assist students with registration, advising, and graduation processes.
• Structure classes and curriculum to align with program outcomes.
• Distribute and use instructional materials, including syllabi and media.
• Convene classes as scheduled and respond to student inquiries.
• Attend in-service sessions and department meetings; perform other duties as assigned.
