Job summary

Heartland Dental LLC is seeking a Dental Assistant for Pickerington Family Dental. You will greet patients, take x-rays, and provide chair-side assistance while maintaining patient comfort and education throughout treatment.

This role requires dental procedures knowledge, a dental assisting certification or x-ray certification, and excellent communication. Competitive benefits and a sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification if required by state.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Access to minimum PHI with HIPAA training and data safeguards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and educate them throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x‑rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chair-side assistance to dentists during procedures in accordance with state regulation.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record-keeping.
• Prepare treatment room following safety protocols and OSHA/CDCs guidelines.
• Manage supplies and place expeditious orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize workflow.
