Job summary

Heritage Health in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to join a friendly, fast-paced team. The role includes intraoral x-rays, four-handed chairside assisting, and strong emphasis on patient experience and efficient care.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be current or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Completion of an accredited dental assistant program is preferred.
• Externship or registered apprenticeship experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for treatment.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort throughout the appointment.
• Chairside assistance using four-handed techniques during procedures.
• Take diagnostic x-rays and determine extent of decay/disease.
• Record patient data, treatment plans, and progress notes in the chart.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Ensure proper sterilization and infection control in the clinic.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining dental supplies and equipment.
• Attend required meetings and adhere to Heritage Health policies.
